The students from Chrobry

in Gryfice are getting ready

for the mobility in Italy

The students from Bolesław Chrobry secondary school in Gryfice are getting closer and closer to the final part of the first mobility in Italy. The school is taking part in the project Erasmus+ and will be represented by the following students: Patryk Chodecki (2e), Małgorzata Malecha (2d), Łukasz Stobiecki (2a), Daria Szalast (2a), Joanna Walburg (2a) and Malwina Zielińska (2c). The students will be accompanied by two teachers: Elżbieta Prokop and Elżbieta Szymańska.

The six students have been meeting and practising specific English language since they were chosen by the School Recruitment Commitee. They have been taught by the English teacher – Maciej Tuźnik. The young people have learnt how to use professional biological and chemical vocabulary and how to behave in everyday situations.

Since the beginning of February our students have been participating in seminars which allow them to acquire new knowledge and skills concerning biodiversity of ecosystems and its influence on the present condition of the environment. Moreover, the students have been working on the material needed for the tasks they are supposed to do in Italy – the presentation of our school and region, the presentation about the excessive exploitation of natural resources, the multimedia display about biodiversity of the Baltic Sea, the documentary titled ' From a forest to a city', showing the process of the urbanization of the region and finally a short presentation of biodiversity of Poland on the species and ecosystem level. The material will be used during the workshops, seminars and lessons taught by CLIL method.

The students also had an opportunity to participate in the meeting with the school psychologist Agata Żurawik-Jankowska, who taught them how to deal with stress, culture shock and cross-cultural differences.

The teacher Anna Staliś presented the physical and geographical conditions of Italy and the Italian cultural heritage. The students who are going to give the presentations in English language in front of other students from the partner countries have been practising their pronunciation with the English teacher Elżbieta Prokop for a week.

The participants are going to take part in the meetings concerning biodiversity problem. The meetings will be conducted by the teacher Aleksandra Bierska.

On Tuesday (2 February 2016) the head teacher, Jolanta Folwarska and the coordinator of the project Aleksandra Bierska organised  a meeting with the parents of the students going to Italy, in order to inform them about the details of the mobility.

Our students with all the necessary materials are flying to Aversa on Sunday.
