Tutorial „Biodiversity in the district Gryfice - restytitution and reintroduction of salmon”

Speaker: Adam Tański, PhD, Eng, the scientist of West Pomerania Technical University of Szczecin, Faculty of Nutrition and Fishing

 

Participants of the tutorial:

grade 1 and 2 students of Bolesław Chrobry Secondary School.

 

Aims of the meeting:

1. Acquiring knowledge and  authors’ works essential to preparing multimedia presentation “Overexposure of natural resources in Poland - deforestation, hunting, fishing and its influence on biodiversity”.

2. Widening knowledge and skills within the scope of biodiversity on the generic and genetic level for first and second grade students who learn biology on the extended level as well as for the  members of School Project Club.

3. Acquiring knowledge  essential to carrying out researches and observation, analyzing the result and drawing conclusions.

4. Increasing the ecological awareness among students at the  school.

 

 

Topics of the tutorial:

1. Biodiversity of the Pomerania region on the species level.
2. The innovative methods applied in restitution of salmon.
3. The restitution of salmon in the Rega River.
4 The ecological niche and habitat of salmon fishes.

5. The restitution of salmon fishes – biology and opportunities of supporting reproduction.

 

During the tutorial the students could broaden the knowledge in the scope of biodiversity, gain skills essential to carrying out researches and observation of the nature. They  saw the exhibitions, watched movies and presentations prepared by Adam Tański, Phd. The author’s works and the results of the researches were made available for the students in order to use them during  Erasmus+ “Ostatnia szansa – zachowanie biorożnorodności dla następnych pokoleń."
